Home / Sports / Lake Placid Begins Preparations to Host NCAA DIII Men?s Ice Hockey National Championships
(LAKE PLACID, N.Y.) In less than a month, the?2013 NCAA division III men?s ice hockey national champion?will be crowned. The NCAA Division III men?s ice hockey national championships return to?Lake Placid, N.Y.?and the Olympic Center?s famed 1980 Rink Herb Brooks Arena, March 15-16. This is the fifth time since 2008 that Lake Placid has played host to the national championship tournament. The New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) and State University of New York College at Plattsburgh (SUNY Plattsburgh) are the co-hosts of the event.
The Division III Frozen Four begins Friday, March 15, at 4 p.m. with the first of two semi-final games. The second game is slated to begin at 7:30 p.m. The two winners will advance to the championship game and square off Saturday night, March 16, at 7 p.m.
Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased on-line by logging onto?http://www.whiteface.com/events/ncaa-division-iii-mens-ice-hockey?or by visiting the Olympic Center?s box office, located at 2634 Main St., Lake Placid, N.Y. Single game tickets are $16 for adults and $13 for juniors, seniors and students. The three game ticket plan is $27 for adults and $20 for juniors, seniors and students.
