SEOUL, KOREA - Nexon has made a high-rate growth to exceed 1.5 trillion won in sales. The local game company has also continued high operating profit rate of 40% or more thanks to good sales results made in China and Japan.
Nexon Japan (represented by Choi Seung-woo) announced 13th that the result of annual business performance for 2012 showed 108.448 billion Japanese yen and 47.874 billion Japanese yen in sales and operating profits respectively. The sales made in Japan for the year of 2012 increased by 172% from the previous year, while that of China grew by 34% for the same period.
Nexon made a successful merger with inBlue and gloops last year to strengthen its mobile business, making itself the world?s largest mobile game developer. It is implementing aggressive marketing strategy by releasing Mogabe-platform-based games. And as for PC-based online games, it is expected to bear a fruitful result as it already provided a number of publishing games contracted last year.
